An escape room is a physical adventure game in which players solve a series of puzzles and riddles using clues, hints and strategy to complete the objectives at hand. Players are given a set time limit to unveil the secret plot which is hidden within the rooms.

You will be in the room no more than one hour for each experience that you’ve booked. Please arrive  15 minutes prior to your reservation time for checkin and instructions.

The timer starts right on the booking time.

The cost is $30 per person in each room. Bookings can only be done through reservation, with no walk-ins allowed. Please refer to our Booking page to reserve a room and time.

Up to 10 participants are allowed per room. If you would like to book a room for more than 10 people, please call! Some rooms may require a minimum of 2 or more.

Unless booking all slots in a room, you may be placed together with other players. If you want to ensure a private experience, please reserve all 10 room slots at the time of booking.

Do however consider that playing with other people is a chance to meet new people and to make new friends.

Rooms are available each day from 10am to 10pm.

Please arrive approximately 15 minutes prior to your reservation time. This time is used to sign in and debrief before the game starts. If you do not arrive 15 minutes early, your game time may be cut short!

Game time starts on the listed booking time, whether you are there or not. Please plan to arrive 15 minutes early to ensure you are ready when the game starts.

Refunds are not offered to groups who miss their booking times.

A booking can only be rescheduled or canceled 48 hours prior to the booking time. If you’re past this time, you unfortunately will not be able to cancel your booking.

Of course. The main room entrance door will always remain unlocked, and players can leave at any time for a break, restroom or whatever reason. Do be advised that the timer will continue running whether you are in the room or not.

While the games themselves can be solved without climbing or other extraneous physical needs, the entrance to the facility is up a single flight of stairs with no elevator available. We are working on adding additional accessibility in the future, but for the moment if a participant is unable to ascend the stairs at the entrance they will not be able to reach the establishment.

If the stairs are not a hindrance, then no parts of the rooms should be either. If you have specific needs, such as a service dog, then please feel free to give us a call at (925) 321-0545 or email us at info@zscapegames.com.

Certainly. We recommend booking a private room for your group. Arrange to drop off any special items with us beforehand or discreetly when you arrive.

Our rooms are designed for participants age 12 and over. Younger children may participate but only in private events. Any child under the age of 18 requires an adult present to sign their waiver.

The majority of groups do not finish the rooms. However, do not let this discourage you, but rather consider it a challenge in overcoming the rooms yourselves!

Whether you complete a room or not, we ask that you do not let the solutions to any puzzles or questions slip to those who have not yet had a chance to try them themselves. It’s more fun when everyone has the same chance to win!

We are located at 2110 Omega Rd, Suite E (On the second floor), San Ramon, CA. Parking is available directly in front of the building. If no spots are available, there is additional parking available around the corner as well as on the neighboring street.
